Pre-Hijama Instructions

There are a set of important guidelines to follow before Hijama to ensure maximum benefits.

Here are the key instructions:

Stop eating for two hours before Hijama and stick to liquids.
It’s recommended to have a light stomach during the session. You may eat 3 dates if necessary.
If you are taking blood-thinning medications, it is recommended to consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor about your health condition and all current medications before the Hijama session.

Rest and avoid physical strain 4 hours before Hijama.

Avoid intense exertion; it’s best not to perform heavy exercises before the session.
Stay away from anger or stress; a calm mental state helps achieve better results.
Try to get enough sleep the night before.

Shower with warm water before Hijama
It’s recommended to shower a few hours before the session, but avoid showering immediately before or after Hijama.

Post-Hijama Instructions

There are a set of important guidelines to follow after Hijama to ensure maximum benefits.

Here are the key instructions:

Increase your fluid intake (water, natural juices, hot beverages).

This helps replenish fluids and improves blood circulation.

Start eating two hours after the Hijama session.

It’s recommended to have a light stomach afterward. You may eat 3 dates if necessary.

Avoid eating red meat and eggs for 24 hours.

Meat and eggs are dense proteins that require extra effort from the digestive system.
After Hijama, the body is in a state of relaxation and rebalancing, so it’s best not to strain it with heavy meals.

Avoid drinking milk, dairy, and all their derivatives.

Milk and dairy products require effort to digest. After Hijama, it’s recommended to give the digestive system a rest.
Therefore, it’s best to avoid them for the first 24 hours.

Showering After 24 Hours of Hijama

It is not recommended to shower with cold or warm water during the first 24 hours.
Showering is allowed after 24 hours have passed.

Avoid any physical exertion for 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous physical activity or vigorous exercise. It is best to avoid driving long distances immediately after the session if you feel dizzy.
